What is the difference between ake and aqe?Edit

The words ake and aqe are similar in sound and spelling and they are derived from the same basic root (akw' meaning "ill"), but they denote different qualities.

The word aqe indicates an unfavorable condition of physical health, commonly called sickness. It describes how someone is feeling physically or another's perception of health.

Ze aqe. [Right now,] I feel/am sick.

The word ake means "nasty" and is used to describe something unpleasant to the senses.

Ake vif. Whatever this is, [it is] nasty.

Whoever is speaking is describing some food that s/he cannot identify.

REMEMBER! Ake is nasty (AAAAK!) whereas aqe is sick (aqe-aqe).
